I feel like I'm begging my child to slow down, but this month has been full of more BIG changes!
Landon is officially sitting up all by himself and is determined he's big enough to play with his big brother. He especially loves anything musical and this mini-piano is his very favorite. His Grandpa "Gumby" Hicks would be so proud.
We've started the adventure of solids. He'd much rather be in the highchair than drinking from a bottle. It's funny though, he loves it so much that most of the time he is smiling so big the food will just run down his chin. I had forgotten how messy baby food was.
As you can see, he's our little leaky faucet. At any point in time he'll have some sort of drool, snot, or tear dripping down his face. His tear ducts are still a little underdeveloped. But it's one of those perfect imperfections. He always has a little twinkle in his right eye.
Poor child has already had multiple colds and a double ear infection but even he's feeling miserable he still manages to grin ear to ear.
Jacob gets the best smiles out of him. Dad gets the best laughs out of him. (And I... get the best sleep out of him. I'm boring like that.)
Anyway, all the drool has been paying off. We welcomed the arrival of two little chompers last week!
It's kinda rediculous how flexible and physical this babe is. It takes a half a second between me taking his socks off and his toes going in his mouth. The next second he's rolling all over the place. And, believe it or not, today he started scooting!
Getting the carpet cleaned and babyproofing the house just jumped up my priority list. This will be a new sort of challenge with a three year old in the house.

I wish I was better with words. It's hard to describe the incredible feeling of having this child in our lives and the happiness and LOVE he brings into our home. He is such a peaceful, calm baby, with such a gentle nature about him. He's incredibly patient with me and all the craziness that goes on in the house. His smile gives me butterflies. And his squeeky squeal reminds me what life is all about.
Jacob will say, while pointing, "Daddy, Mommy, Jacob, and Landon. We're a family, right?"
Yep, buddy. We're a family. And I couldn't be happier.
