I quit. With the whole camera thing. I have come down with a camera curse.
The first day at the ranch, when inserting my memory card in my nice camera, the awful screen saying "Error. Replace memory card." shows up. Ok fine. Try another. And another. Memory card? Nope. My camera. Going in for a fix-it estimate this week, but may take a month or two to fix? Arg! (Fortunately my sis let me try out her 5D for the weekend at the ranch. Pics soon to come. Can you say "Camera Envy"? Seriously.)
Today. Settle with my li'l point and shoot camera and take ADORABLE pictures of the little man swimming and splashing dad in the backyard. Sheer summer bliss. Couldn't wait to share them. Plug in the camera to upload. "Memory Card ERROR." ARE you kidding me? I start over- same thing. Lost all the pictures. My heart hurts, they were so stinkin' cute.
I suppose I'm a little extra sensitive as it has become a rarity for Jacob to even let me take pictures lately.
This is the new norm....
Hm. Time to start a new hobby?

Even this pictures is "worth a thousand words." Don't stop clicking. Remember I lost my first week of Europe on my first trip....the camera hadn't picked up the start tab of film to start rolling. That still hurts!
I am so sorry!!! I hope your Camera gets fix, Don't quit, you are very good at it! I know your pain Julia it happened to me once. Just Keep taking pictures with the Camera you have now until you have the other one back.
I lost every picture from my Hawaii trip the same way. Just plugged in the camera and memory chip and everything was gone. You can take it to costco or another place and see if they can recover anything. THey couldn't on mine...but maybe you will have more luck. And you can't quit in the photo business...then I will lose so much of my motivation.
